Canadian gay water polo team hits the screen

Toronto’s Triggerfish star in sexy and soaking new video

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted to be underwater at a gay water polo game, watching everything that goes down below the surface. All that tugging, yanking, kicking and other elegant leg work. Well, now all of my dreams have come true, thanks to a new video created by Toronto’s Triggerfish gay waterpolo team.

The team, along with director Shih-Ming Yao, recently released the hilarious and sexy short film to help promote Polopalooza, an annual water polo tournament that welcomes teams from across North America, the UK and Denmark.

All these fancy descriptions can be boiled down to a few words: gay men; Speedos; pool/shower scenes.

Soundtracked by KT Tunstall’s “Suddenly I See” and the Baywatch theme song, the video follows the team of steamy boys getting ready, getting changed, and getting wet while playing a match in the pool.

Even the funny helmets and oddly placed drag scenes can’t take away from the gratuitous, slow motion chin-ups, butt shots, coach Brendan’s dripping wet body, and female team members’ Beyoncé-hairography moments.

It’s a very fun — and a sopping wet — look at a day in the life of one of Toronto’s hottest sports teams.

The Polopalooza water polo tournament is Saturday and Sunday April 25 and 26 at the University of Toronto Athletic Centre, 50m Varsity Pool, 55 Harbord St, Toronto.
