Cassy Lee

Cassy Lee (she/her) is an English-speaking San Francisco-based comics artist and librarian whose career lies at the intersection of art, books, and education. She has an MFA in Comics from the California College of the Arts and when she’s not trying to protect the freedom to read and putting books in kids’ hands, she enjoys exploring visual narrative as a means to heal from trauma and is working on her first graphic novel. Her work has also appeared in publications such as The Comics Journal, Mutha Magazine, GraphicMedicine.org, the International Journal of Comic Art, and School Library Journal. You can see her work at cassylee.com and follow her journey @readfreedrawfree on Instagram or on Substack at https://substack.com/@readfreedrawfree.
