Documentary about escape artist Amazing Randi is full of twists and turns

Well-known magician and pseudoscience debunker James Randi is the subject of the documentary An Honest Liar. For years, Randi was a frequent guest on The Tonight Show. In the above interview, Randi discusses the film and his later-life coming out. The screening is part of The Best of Hot Docs, put on in association with the Vancouver International Film Festival, which runs June 20 to 26 and features nine films from Toronto’s Hot Docs festival.

The Amazing Randi, aka James Randi, is the subject of An Honest Liar. The documentary charts Randis life as a magician, a pseudoscience debunker and a gay man who comes out publicly at the age of 82.
