Halifax’s prideHealth wants you to think trans health

Imagine accessing a system that could ask you to expose yourself in a fashion that might not be easy or safe.

Imagine that that system is essential to your well-being: the healthcare system.

PrideHealth, an organization within Capital Health, the province’s largest health authority, recently put out a video entitled “What You Don’t Know Can Hurt Us: The Faces of Gender.” The video includes interviews with various trans people, many of them speaking of their own personal experiences when accessing healthcare, and the issues contained therein.
