Halifax’s prideHealth wants you to think trans health

Imagine accessing a system that could ask you to expose yourself in a fashion that might not be easy or safe.

Imagine that that system is essential to your well-being: the healthcare system.

PrideHealth, an organization within Capital Health, the province’s largest health authority, recently put out a video entitled “What You Don’t Know Can Hurt Us: The Faces of Gender.” The video includes interviews with various trans people, many of them speaking of their own personal experiences when accessing healthcare, and the issues contained therein. Check it out below.
