Sun, Feb 22: 4 pm et/1 pm pt, 6pm et/3 pm pt, 12 am et/9 pm pt and 2 am et/11 pm pt.

The academy awards are this Sun, Feb 22, and in honour of Milk’s eight nominations, OutTV will re-air the academy award winning feature length documentary The Times of Harvey Milk four times Sunday.

The documentary will be accompanied by interstitials featuring queer community activists from across Canada, current and future, speaking about how Harvey Milk has influenced their lives and inspired their activism.

“In the late seventies there wasn’t a whole lot of gay and lesbian people that one could look up to and admire, Harvey was there fighting his fight and I very much followed what he was doing. His influence was instrumental in the formation of our store,” says Jim Deva, co-owner of Little Sisters bookstore. “Harvey’s story and [his] life certainly gave us a road map to success.”
