Winnipeg Pride through the eyes of a teen

Prairie event scores best attendance ever; check out our photo gallery

The theme for this year’s Winnipeg Pride parade was “Grow with us,” and grow it did — by leaps and bounds.

At least 5,000 enthusiastic queers turned out for the Jun 14 event, the first beautiful sunny day of the year.

The event is clearly hitting a growth spurt. Teenagers outnumbered all other age groups in attendance, especially at the post-parade festival.

One of those teens, Brynn Hughes, took pictures for Xtra.ca. Check them out, then tell us what you liked best about Winnipeg Pride!
