Pariah, the lesbian coming-out story of a Brooklyn teen, continues to gain steam with Meryl Streep’s mention of the film and its star, Adepero Oduye, in her Golden Globe acceptance speech.
“How about Adepero Ouye?” said Streep, after accepting the award for lead actress in a drama, for her portrayal of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady. “How about Pariah?”
