Polaris Prize queer highlights: Tegan and Sara and Owen

Montreal’s Karkwa took home the Polaris Prize, the annual award for best Canadian album. Last night’s gala included great performances by queer acts.

Nominees Tegan and Sara were joined on-stage by fellow nominee Owen Pallett, and they tweeted this adorable picture. So cute!

Watch the trio perform “Alligator” and “The Ocean” from Tegan and Sara’s Polaris-nominated Sainthood:

I would also post Owen Pallett’s performance, but it doesn’t seem to be on YouTube! You can catch the show again on MuchMusic on Sept 25 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT.
