Move over ‘Nye, there’s a new gay idol in rap music, and it’s not just because he has freakishly good taste in clothes.
Lil B, born Brandon McCartney, is the most progressive rapper… ever. The talented 23-year-old, who has recorded more than 1,500 songs since last July (and started several MySpace pages to share them all), has announced that his upcoming album will be titled I’m Gay.
The rapper explained to MTV, “I’m very gay, but I love women. I’m not attracted to men in any way. I’ve never been attracted to a man in my life. But yes, I am gay. I’m so happy. I’m a gay, heterosexual male. I got major love for the gay and lesbian community, and I just want to push less separation and that’s why I’m doing it.“
He claims to have received death threats since making the announcement and has lost a large number of followers on Twitter, but he says he won’t change the name. “A hundred years later people are going to thank me,” he said, “because people are gonna be free.”
Oh my God. I must marry sleep with this man.
