Bette Midler rips Lady Gaga over mermaid in a wheelchair

Madonna may be much too dignified to call Lady Gaga out on, uhm, ripping off her entire career, but the Divine Miss M has no pretense of such class. I fucking love her for it! Don’t get me wrong; I love Gaga too. I think she’s fab. But mermaid in a wheelchair? Seriously, girl? What are you going to do next, moonwalk?

Seems the legendary Bette Midler shares my sentiments. Check out her hilarious tweets:

“I’m not sure @ladygaga knows that I’ve performed my mermaid in a wheelchair for millions of people – and many of them are still alive.”

“Dear @ladygaga if you think a mermaid in a wheelchair seems familiar – it’s because it is! You can see it on YouTube 24/7 – with ME performing it.”

“Dear @ladygaga I’ve been doing singing mermaid in a wheelchair since 1980 – You can keep the meat dress and the firecracker tits – mermaid’s mine.”

Good to see Bette still has some bite!
