Zander Woodz fans are seeing a lot more of the performer since he joined Carnal Media as an exclusive model. Known for wearing a mask—everything from pup masks to motorcycle helmets—when filming his adult content, he went full face for the first time for Bareback+’s Beta Beta Pi.
“It was a kinky setting that I was all in for. I always wanted that type of experience for a face reveal,” said Woodz about the eight-man orgy scene he filmed for the studio. “It was one of those things where I want to reveal my face, but if I was going to, it would need to be this type of scene—and Carnal threw that at me the first day, so it was, ‘Well, it looks like I am doing this.’”
The reveal, Woodz said, has been a huge confidence booster for him. He said that when a masked performer decides to reveal their face, it can go either way. People can have more interest in you as a performer, or completely lose interest. It is a fear he felt at first, too.
“For me, there was a personal reason to show it,” Woodz said. “I’ve been doing it for five years, and part of me, especially during this last year, was worried that at some point I would have no documentation of what I looked like, or of the person behind the mask. I look at my phone, and I have one or two photos with my face in it and all the other photos are masked.
“I feel like I am doing a disservice to myself by not capturing that authentic, personal self. In five or 10 years from now, I would love to have that, and if it requires me to make some really hot adult content to be able to show my face, then so be it. Actually, that is even better because I like the idea of looking back way in the future and being, ‘Wow. That was me.’”
Woodz said there was also a trust he feels working with Carnal that he went for this levelling-up moment. He said it is a very comfortable environment making content with them thanks to its strong team, good feedback and collaborative nature.
“I am so used to not needing to worry about what is going on up here,” he said pointing to his face. “That was something where I needed to trust them that it was going to be something the viewer would want to watch.”
Woodz said that it is when he is in a comfortable environment that he feels free to explore and experiment. He said wearing masks and puppy gear allowed him the tap into a playful side of himself that was missing in his adult life. It let him focus less on being an adult and more on having fun and exploring different kinks and deciding whether he “might want to add it to the bag of things I am into.”
“You never know what you are really into until you try it out. I didn’t know I was into the pup stuff until I put on my gear for the first time. I found a lot of self-love in puppy play and not taking things so seriously. It changed my outlook on life,” he said.
“I know my limits, and I know the things I am interested in, but it is a nice aha moment, a lightbulb moment, whenever you find something that makes things a little more exciting or new. Sex should always be something that is experimental and playful so it doesn’t become stale. That is one of the reasons why I got into pup play and kink stuff because it has helped me to diversify and access different feelings, emotions that I would not necessarily be able to if I was having ‘normy’ sex.”
Which, he said, is why he is definitely excited about creating more content with Carnal. He said he likes how the studio has been trying out new things and experimenting, and how each model that joins Carnal, especially as an exclusive, has a little bit of influence in steering the newer material.
“My daddy era will come at some point. Right now, it is about not being afraid to try new things and just release new things,” Woodz said. “Carnal pays attention to what is getting heads turning and trying to stay with the times; like if everyone starts dressing like a Labubu and having sex? I don’t know. But I can be your Labubu. Wink, wink.”
