BBQ and screening of Wizard of Oz raises $1,500 for Village project

Roughly 200 people turned out to the Village Street Social on Sep 9, despite the cold temperature and last-minute change in location.

There was something magical about sitting on Gilmour Street at the corner of Bank, watching the Wizard of Oz on an outdoor movie screen.

Organizer Glenn Crawford says the event raised $1,500 for the Village initiative.
