Sharon Needles in Toronto this weekend

New album, PG-13, riding high on the charts

Sharon Needles is riding a wave of success into Toronto this weekend as her album, PG-13, continues to rocket up the charts (presently number four on the iTunes pop chart). She will be a special guest at Fit, at fly nightclub, on Saturday, Feb 2.

“You know, it’s like a dream; you can’t really tell the time,” she recently told Fab magazine’s Darryl Mabey.

She debuted on Season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race about a year ago and she hasn’t stopped since.

Xtra chatted with Needles in Vancouver a few months ago as her star was starting to rise. Below is the video interview and clips from her show.

On occasion, the number of editors and other staff who contribute to a story gets a little unwieldy to give a byline to everyone. That’s when we use “Xtra Staff” in place of the usual contributor info. If you would like more information on who contributed to a particular story, please contact us here.
