Diners head out to Ottawa restaurants for this year’s Taste for Life

A culinary delight for a good cause

Restaurants around Ottawa participated in this year’s Taste for Life on April 28.

From 5pm onwards, 48 restaurants opened their doors to hungry diners eager to spend the evening with family and friends while enjoying good food and supporting a good cause.

Xtra took to the street to visits some of the featured restaurants — Oz Kafé, Social, Benitz Bistro, b/side Wine bar and Side Plates, East India Company, Café Buzz, Savannah Café, Zen Restaurant, Jak’s Kitchen and the Whalesbone.

Each restaurant was alive with conversation and people enjoying themselves; each was fully booked.

At 10pm the Whalesbone was still packed with diners who showed no sign of leaving.
